It was always a pleasure to work with Karla, across many projects at pebble magazine. She's an instinctive designer who always exceeds expectations and she always turned round work that delighted us and hit deadlines. I would heartily recommend.
pebble is an eco lifestyle magazine, home to a community of people that care about all things sustainability and green living, regularly running face-to-face and virtual events.
In 2021 pebble created FutureFest - a virtual sustainability festival involving talks, panels, workshops, demos, shopping, dancing and drinking, looking at what the future looks like if and when we get to carbon neutral.

FutureFest needed branding and part of the brief was that the identity needed to fit in with pebble's existing branding. With it being a virtual festival, it had the opportunity to capture a broad audience which is something I had in mind when coming up with the design and thinking about its appeal. I wanted to portray the topics of sustainability and carbon neutrality as something exciting, interesting and open to everyone to explore.
This resulted in a bold, playful and inviting brand identity, using some of pebble’s existing brand palette and typography, but with a custom logo and a set of lively illustrations and compositions, which made the brand stand out on social media and other digital platforms.
